Welcome to my blog site. Please allow me to introduce myself to you.

I grew up in Alberta, making me, de facto, a Western Canadian, which probably means more to other Western Canadians than it does to anyone else. I live in Saskatchewan -- hence the topic of this blog -- Freelance Social Commentary From the Heart of Canada -- because Saskatchewan is in the middle of this rather large, largely uninhabited country. Okay -- lots of people would object to what I just said, but if you could appreciate how much land is in this nation and how comparatively few people are on it -- you'd realize how much of Canada is uninhabited. Don't get me wrong, here. Uninhabited doesn't mean un-owned. I'm sure the entire country is accounted for, in various small and large chunks both privately and publicly. Anyway, I'm Canadian, which means a lot of different things. Maybe over the course of this blog, some of those things will become figured out -- at least for me.

I really like blogs. I'm an avid blog reader and have some favourites that I read regularly. I've become more interested in reading blogs than newspapers. You get a lot of news in blogs, as well as a lot of opinions -- good bloggers aren't journalists, but they have interesting perspectives on life and worthwhile things to say. Of course, I supplement with net-news and the occasional flip-by of a tv channel now and then. If some news becomes very serious or worth saving, well, I'll probably resort to buying a newspaper. I'll admit that I'm a genuine fan of the digital. Think of all those happy trees.

My occupation? Blogging. Heh. Well, that's not really true, but wouldn't it be fun? Anyway, everything you read here is just opinion given on the fly and subject to change if better or new ideas come along in future.

Now, my nod to modern society: anything you read on this blog is strictly personal opinion and copyrighted exclusively by me, the blog writer. The opinions you read on this blog reflect nobody's opinion, except my own, and even they change from time to time, making this blog nothing more than opinion in the moment, really, and reflective of nothing more than that.

Of course, thoughts and opinions posted in the comments sections are those of the posters -- not necessarily mine. Take it all or leave it all as you will. I have no idea what pleases or offends any of my readers, personally, so be warned: you might be offended.

In most countries, offending people is not a crime. In some it is. We are Canadians. We are not easily amused, and we are easily offended. We don't charge people who offend us (usually), but we do shun them in our social circles -- and the social circles in Canada are very small, need I remind you? Geographically, Canada's a large country -- like an ocean. Socially, it's a puddle.

Anyway, you've been warned -- if you don't like what I say, tell me -- or just don't read my blog.
